The Equine Human Connection…
Shannon Panzo, as a brain scientist and researcher, has for many years observed and studied the human / equine connection and interaction, and claims there is a fantastic connection that can be established between equines and humans. Equines have a natural empathy and can sense the deepest human emotions and feelings. This makes equines an excellent choice for healing and rehabilitative therapies. There are many successful Equine therapies in use, including the treatment of veterans with PTSD and for Children with Asperger’s and Autism.
The human/equine affinity can be seen in people that have extensive contact with horses, and lead to these people being labelled “Horse People”; which is often misunderstood by people that have not been around equines much. Horse People often find that there is something significant missing, – a hole, that is created when they are away from equine contact for any length of time.
Throughout time, since humans and horses began to work together, there is ‘Legend of a Sacred Equine Covenant‘ with the horse handed down through the generations. With the size and strength of horses to be clearly obvious, and to some intimidating; it is easy to see why the Legend of the Equine Covenant exists to this day.
His interests also include bringing humans and horses closer together for the betterment of both. Humans hold the key for this to happen. Shannon has studied and applied ways to increase the intuitive process in humans to bridge the gap between the species.
He also breeds miniature horses, monitors their diet and health, and observes their interaction with each other as well as with humans. Shannon claims that he has been taught many of life’s intrinsic lessons through observation and interaction with these clever little horses. Even though horses learn from their past, and are taught best through consistent action, diversion, and correction; they live in the “now”. Being around horses gives humans an easy point of reference and focus; as we can so easily be distracted by what has happened in our past or to dwell on what the future will bring.
A portion of proceeds earned from the ZOX Pro Training and seminars go to support this research and maintain the viability of the herd.
As an extension to what the human brain is capable of, Shannon is working to create the “Human / Equine Intuitive Interaction” Workshop.
